A recovery trend has emerged on Borsa İstanbul following the sell-offs that have been effective since the beginning of the week. After starting the day at 12,038 points, the BIST 100 index saw 12,355 points as buying strengthened during the day.
As of 15:38, the index was trading with an increase approaching 3 percent compared to the previous close. At the same time, the banking index gained 2.36 percent, while the holding index rose by 0.84 percent.
In the first half of the day, the total trading volume on Borsa İstanbul was recorded at 84.7 billion lira. The BIST 100 index had previously retreated to 11,926 points due to the selling pressure that continued from the start of the week, but turned upward following rebound buying from these levels.
In terms of technical outlook, the 12,200 and 12,300 point levels are being watched as resistance for the BIST 100 index, while the 12,000 and 11,900 point levels are being monitored as support.
