Istanbul Airport has surpassed a new threshold in daily flight and passenger traffic. Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu reported that 1,739 flights and 290,287 passengers were reached at the airport on August 16.
Uraloğlu announced that with these figures, Istanbul Airport recorded the highest daily flight and passenger numbers of all time in Turkey and Europe.
In his written statement, Uraloğlu drew attention to the airport's strategic importance in international aviation and stated that Istanbul Airport is among the world's leading airports with its capacity, infrastructure, and service quality.
Minister Uraloğlu expressed that the records broken strengthen Istanbul Airport's position as a global hub.
