Record passenger numbers for Turkish Airlines in February compared to last year

Increasing the number of passengers carried from 4.9 million in February 2023 to 6.1 million this year, a rise of 25.4 percent, THY's international load factor was 80.9 percent, while its domestic load factor was 85.1 percent.
The number of international-to-international transfer passengers was 2.1 million in February 2023; in the same month this year, it increased by 14.6 percent to 2.4 million.
Available Seat Kilometers (ASK) reached 18.4 billion in February of this year, a 19.5 percent increase from 15.4 billion in the same period last year.
The volume of cargo and mail carried was 101.9 thousand tons in February 2023, while it reached 148.4 thousand tons in the same period this year, an increase of 45.6 percent.
INCREASE IN NUMBER OF PASSENGERS CARRIED
According to the statement, which also included an evaluation of the January-February 2024 traffic results, THY increased the number of passengers carried by 12.8 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 12.3 million.
The number of international-to-international transfer passengers was 4.4 million in the January-February 2023 period; it reached 5 million in the same period this year, an increase of 14.4 percent.
The passenger load factor was 80.8 percent, a decrease of 0.2 points compared to the January-February 2023 period. The international passenger load factor was 80.3 percent, and the domestic passenger load factor was 84.9 percent.
ASK was 33.5 billion in the January-February 2023 period, while it reached 38.4 billion in the same period this year, an increase of 14.7 percent.
The total volume of cargo and mail carried in the first 2 months of 2024 was recorded as 297.2 thousand tons, an increase of 34.5 percent compared to the same period last year.
The number of aircraft in THY's fleet rose to 450 as of February.
