Red meat prices in Turkey are 2.5 times the world average!

Economist İnan Mutlu criticized the Meat and Milk Board (ESK), stating that red meat prices in Turkey are trending well above the world average.

According to Mutlu's assessment, while the world average price for 1 kilogram of beef is 6.72 dollars, this figure has reached 17.76 dollars in Turkey. Thus, red meat prices in dollar terms have risen to approximately 2.5 times the world average.

Mutlu drew attention to the fact that the Meat and Milk Board, which was established to provide affordable meat to the public, is generating high profits, and stated that it is not surprising that the institution ranks among the top taxpayers.
