Remarkable statement from Rahmi Koç: This state can easily run with 200 members of parliament

Koç Holding Honorary Chairman Rahmi Koç made remarkable statements regarding the economy. Speaking to Gazete Oksijen, Koç pointed out that the population growth rate in Turkey is high and said that this has a negative impact on the economy.

Stating that services are disrupted due to population growth, Koç said, "Whatever happens to us is due to population growth. Schools are not enough, food is not enough, education is not enough. Hospitals are not enough, nothing is enough in the current situation. First of all, we need to control the population."

"It is difficult to move and stabilize the economy with such a population. Because the resources we create ourselves are not enough for us. We definitely need external resources. Today, there is a lot of unemployment in the country. It requires an investment of between 60 thousand and 80 thousand dollars to find a job for one person. For this investment to come, the infrastructure must be organized and put in place.

They say that 5.5 million people work for the state. This does not include soldiers. Therefore, this state could easily run with 2 million people. There are 600 members of parliament; it could easily be handled with 200."
