Rental increase rate for February has been announced
Following the announcement of inflation data, the maximum rent increase rate to be applied to residences and workplaces in February 2026 has been set at 33.98 percent.
The announcement of January consumer inflation results has clarified the rent increase amount for the February 2026 period for millions of tenants and landlords. In January, monthly inflation was recorded at 4.84 percent, while annual inflation was 30.65 percent.
With the new data, tenants and property owners were curious about the increase rate that would apply to rental agreements. According to legal regulations, rent increases are based on the twelve-month average of inflation. In this context, the maximum increase that can be applied for February has been calculated at 33.98 percent.
For example, in a rent increase calculation using this rate for a residence with a current rent of 40,000 TL, the increase amount reaches 13,592 TL. Thus, the increased rent will begin to be paid as 53,592 TL in February 2026.
