In a statement made by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB), it was announced that a decision has been made to update the participant list of the Survey of Market Participants—which is conducted to monitor the expectations of decision-makers and experts in the financial and real sectors regarding various macroeconomic variables—in order to increase the survey's representativeness.

The statement noted that the first survey study with the new participant list will be conducted in the October 2023 period, and the results will be published on October 20, 2023.

ONLY INSTITUTIONAL PARTICIPANTS WILL BE INCLUDED

The statement noted that only institutional participants will be included to ensure continuity of participation, and included the following remarks: "In determining the institutions; objective criteria were based on asset size for banks, asset/portfolio sizes for brokerage firms, portfolio investment size in Turkey for foreign-resident banks, and asset/turnover sizes at the sector level for firms outside the financial sector."
