Sale possibility on the agenda for Turkey's largest copper mine
Following the rise in copper prices, the owners of Turkey's largest open-pit copper mine located in Kastamonu are reviewing the option of a sale.
Following the recent surge in copper prices to record levels in global markets, a significant development may be on the horizon for one of Turkey's leading copper mine investments.
CLAIMS THAT THE COPPER MINE IS FOR SALE
According to a report by Bloomberg, the local investor groups operating the Göksırmak copper mine located in the north of Kastamonu are putting the potential sale process for all or part of their shares in the mine on the table.
Acacia Mining Enterprises, a partnership between Akfen Holding, Ilbak Holding, and Bacacı Yatırım Holding, has authorized the international investment bank Goldman Sachs for the sale of this large-scale asset.

Sources close to the matter report that receiving various offers is currently on the agenda and that the sale process is still in the initial stages.
In the current negotiation process, it is estimated that the value of the mine could be around 1 billion dollars if a full sale is realized. It is stated that the outcome of this sale, which could attract significant interest from investors, is being closely followed by both the sector and economic circles.
