Seçil Erzan's lawyer speaks for the first time

Seçil Erzan's lawyer, Nazlı Nadide Karaaslan, made a statement to FOX Haber. Karaaslan explained that Erzan had earned significant money for her clients for 12 years and that she had established the system for which she is currently arrested and on trial starting in 2021, asking, "Did this girl not earn money for anyone at all?" Karaaslan spoke as follows:

"This girl had already been doing this from 2011 to 2022. One should ask the people there. Did this girl not earn money for anyone at all? In the houses they live in, the cars they drive, the university educations of their children. Seçil has a statement; she says, 'The money is in the watches everyone is wearing.' This money is not with Seçil. It is not clearly buried somewhere. It is in the interest, houses, cars, and safes of these people whose names are mentioned. The money is there."

While arguing that her client had established a "Ponzi" scheme for the last two years, Karaaslan also claimed that she had earned significant money for her clients in the past:

"She buys paper from a speculative investment fund and the money completely disappears. In those days, Seçil takes money from people in order to recover that money. She took it for a relative. He was both her client and her relative. He was also a successful business person in commercial life. She did it because she thought he would say, 'You couldn't handle this paper' in his eyes! At the end of 2021, the dollar suddenly rises. Seçil also had a deficit of about 2 million dollars at that time."

She met Ali Yörük, and things got out of control

Explaining that Erzan, who lost 2 million dollars in the stock market in 2021, started looking for money after this date, her lawyer claimed that things got out of control after she met Ali Yörük.

Claiming that Seçil Erzan was very loved because she earned money for people and contributed to everyone, Karaaslan continued her words as follows:

"Everyone bought very nice gifts for Seçil, those who came to her door. Those who asked what you eat, what you drink. Those who sent things from her village. Those who bought expensive gifts. What does this show? It means that Seçil contributed to all of you. She provided a benefit to all of you, an added value outside the ordinary flow of life, so that you could call Seçil 'Seço'!"
