Second bread price hike in six months in one province
Bread prices in Erzincan have been raised for the second time in six months. The new tariff will be effective starting February 1. The last price hike took place in August.
Following a request by the Erzincan Bakers' Chamber and approval from the Union of Chambers of Tradesmen and Artisans, the sale price of bread in Erzincan has been increased.
Accordingly, effective Saturday, February 1, 2025, the sale price of a 210-gram loaf of bread, previously 10 TL, has been set at 12 TL.
The increases in the costs of flour, fuel, yeast, and labor were cited as the reasons for the price hike.
The last time bread prices were raised in Erzincan was this past August.
