Senior appointment at Yıldız Holding
Cengiz Altop, an experienced name in the food industry, has been appointed as the CEO of Northstar, one of the Yıldız Holding companies.
Cengiz Altop has become the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Northstar, the innovation company of Yıldız Holding.
According to the statement made by the holding, Altop, who has over 40 years of experience in the food industry, graduated from the METU Department of Chemical Engineering in 1979 and completed his master's degree in the same department in 1981.
Altop, who completed his MBA at Yale University in 1991, served as Production Engineer, R&D & Quality Manager, and Deputy General Manager at Ülker Chocolate and Biscuit factories between 1983 and 1989, respectively. Working as Deputy General Manager at Mis Süt and as the founding General Manager of the Macro Supercenter chain within the Tekfen Group between 1992 and 1998, Altop served as the Managing Partner of Teknaroma between 2003 and 2020.
Following the transfer of the company to Palsgaard Gıda San. Tic. AŞ in 2020, Altop continued his role as General Manager until January 2023. Most recently, Altop served as the Global Chocolate Industry Senior Commercial Leader under the umbrella of Palsgaard Gıda.
