Oğuz shared the prices of what is known as the 'lahmacun-ayran index,' which has been tracked in Bodrum for many years.

A friend of ours sent a message. There is a lahmacun-ayran index in Bodrum. Last year it was 450 liras; now it has risen to 900 liras.

Lahmacun has gone from 310 to 650 liras, and ayran has gone from 140 to 250 liras.

The base price of the ayran-lahmacun combo, which was 450 liras in 2023, has now risen to 900 liras, which is 100 percent inflation.

Ten years ago, Vahap Munyar had run a headline in Hürriyet saying that while a lahmacun was 2.5-3 liras, it was 50 liras in Bodrum. People were up in arms. He wrote this in Hürriyet, and we talked about it for months.
