Share of TL deposit accounts hits 6.5-month high
According to data released by the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK), the share of Turkish Lira deposit accounts has risen to 38.5 percent.
With the increase rate in deposit interest rates rising to 45 percent, demand for deposits has also begun to increase.
Following the hikes in the policy rate and simplification steps, the share of Turkish Lira deposits within total deposits has risen to 38.55 percent, reaching a 6.5-month high.
According to BDDK data, Turkish Lira deposits have recorded an increase of 40.3 percent since the end of June.
