Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek, who traveled to New York for the 79th UN General Assembly, met with senior officials from international credit rating agencies.

According to information obtained, Şimşek, who held investor meetings and discussions as part of his New York contacts, met with senior officials from Standard & Poor's (S&P) and Moody's on the third day of his visit.

Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB) Governor Fatih Karahan also attended the meeting.

It was learned that during the meetings, Şimşek addressed recent developments in the economic program, particularly his priorities in the field of public finance.

Minister Şimşek has concluded his investor meetings and discussions in New York.
