Solution sought for base salary crisis: Will there be a flat-rate raise for retirees?

It has been claimed that the AKP's efforts regarding the increase of the lowest pensions from 10,000 to 12,000 TL will continue until Thursday.

According to a report by Besti Karalar from Ekonomim; the possibility of reflecting a 2,000 TL flat-rate raise to all retirees is also being discussed. However, it is also stated that the decision to apply this to all retirees has not yet been finalized.

BASE SALARY PROBLEM

The AKP is looking for new formulas to completely eliminate the base salary problem. Pension increases are applied based on the base salary. While the AKP continues its search for a fundamental solution regarding the base salary on one hand, it is also planning to increase the lowest pension from 10,000 TL to 12,000 TL on the other.

FLAT-RATE RAISE

The AKP is also discussing a 2,000 TL flat-rate raise for all retirees. AKP sources commented, "We are discussing the issue of reflecting this to all retirees, but there is no decision made yet." It was stated that approximately 1 million 610 thousand people would benefit from the regulation to be made for those receiving the lowest pension.
