Spot electricity and natural gas prices announced (March 5, 2024)

According to data from Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST), the trading volume in the spot electricity market today increased by 12.6 percent compared to yesterday, reaching 1 billion 592 million 114 thousand 186 Turkish Lira.

In the day-ahead market, the price for one megawatt-hour of electricity for tomorrow was determined to be at its highest at 09:00 with 2,690 Turkish Lira and at its lowest at 04:00 with 1,600 Turkish Lira.

In the day-ahead market, the arithmetic average price for one megawatt-hour of electricity was 2,432 Turkish Lira and 33 kuruş, while the weighted average price was 2,458 Turkish Lira and 87 kuruş.

In the spot market, the price for one megawatt-hour of electricity was recorded at a maximum of 2,649 Turkish Lira and a minimum of 1,450 Turkish Lira today.

In the spot natural gas market, the reference price for 1,000 cubic meters of gas was determined as 10,415 Turkish Lira and 16 kuruş yesterday.

HOW MUCH IS NATURAL GAS?

According to data from Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST), the trading volume in the spot natural gas market yesterday was 12 million 372 thousand 134 Turkish Lira. This amount was announced as 10 million 670 thousand 514 Turkish Lira the previous day.

In the spot natural gas market yesterday, the reference price for 1,000 cubic meters of natural gas was 10,415 Turkish Lira and 16 kuruş, and the gas trade volume was 1 million 188 thousand cubic meters.

For market participants, the balancing gas purchase price was determined as 10,935 Turkish Lira and 92 kuruş, and the sales price as 9,894 Turkish Lira and 40 kuruş.
