Starting a business in Turkey becomes easier: Visa program for foreign entrepreneurs

A program has been launched that provides simplified work permit procedures for foreign professionals and entrepreneurs with specialized expertise, with the aim of attracting high-value-added technological ventures to Turkey.

Under the Türkiye TechVisa program, prepared by the Ministry of Industry with the support of the Ministry of Labor, three-year work permits will be granted to entrepreneurs and expert employees if companies operating in specific high-value-added sectors are established in Turkey.

With the program, companies established in technoparks or incubation centers will be granted corporate tax and income tax exemptions for their employees, and bureaucratic processes will be accelerated.

The program aims to make the domestic entrepreneurship ecosystem more attractive for early-stage and scaling companies.

Speaking at the launch of the program, which has been in development for approximately two years, at Istanbul Airport, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır said, "(With the program) we will enable professionals and entrepreneurs to make long-term plans in Turkey and feel at home. The biggest winners of the program we have implemented will, of course, be Turkish technology startups and our qualified human resources."
