Statement from Iran regarding oil sales

The Iranian Ministry of Petroleum has shared new sales data following discussions regarding the country's oil revenues. The ministry's statement reported that oil sales exceeded 11 billion dollars in the period from March 21 to July 22.

The statement did not include comparative data for the same period of the previous year. However, it was stated that oil sales were at the level of approximately 8 billion dollars in the period from December 22, 2025, to March 20, 2026.

It was noted that the ministry's statement was made in response to claims that the decline in Iran's foreign exchange resources was due to weakness in oil sales and that the economy was facing a difficult situation due to the performance of the Ministry of Petroleum.

It was previously suggested that Iran's annual oil revenue was around 50-60 billion dollars in the years before the attacks by the US and Israel. It is stated that there has been a decline in oil sales following the blockade imposed by the US in the Sea of Oman.
