Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan made evaluations regarding the agenda on the program Başkent Kulisi, which aired on Kanal 7.
Making a statement regarding the reduction of the number of premium days required for Bağ-Kur members to retire from 9,000 to 7,200, Işıkhan said that their work on the matter is ongoing.
Işıkhan's statements are as follows;
"We must ensure the sustainability of our Social Security System. We provide this through premium revenues. This is our most important income. That is why we continue to keep our citizens in employment and working life as much as possible.
We respect the expectations of Bağ-Kur members. Our work on this issue continues. Reducing the number of days from 9,000 to 7,200 was a promise made before the election. We will fulfill this as well. We have absolutely no concerns. As always, we will fulfill this promise of ours."
