Stock market opens with gains, hits 9,274 points
The BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul opened the day with a 0.35 percent increase at 9,274.48 points.
At the opening, the BIST 100 index gained 32.32 points, or 0.35 percent, compared to the previous close, reaching 9,274.48 points.
The banking index rose by 0.24 percent and the holding index by 0.30 percent. While all sector indices saw gains, the technology sector was the top performer with a 0.96 percent increase.
Yesterday, the BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul followed a bullish trend, closing at a record high of 9,242.15 points with a 1.87 percent gain. The index also reached an all-time high of 9,282.89 points during the session.
Analysts stated that global equity markets began the final trading day of the week on a positive note, led by technology companies, and noted that all eyes are now on the U.S. producer inflation data to be released today.
Meanwhile, the gala dinner of the Turkey-Saudi Arabia Investment and Business Forum, hosted by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance and organized by the Investment Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye and the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK), was held in Istanbul with the participation of Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz.
