Striking assessment from Erdal Sağlam: Mehmet Şimşek is trying, but not bringing in foreign capital
Economy writer Erdal Sağlam stated that despite all the efforts of Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek and the positive messages from international investment banks and investors, foreigners are not bringing money into Turkey.
Economy writer Erdal Sağlam made striking assessments in his article titled "Foreigners show interest but do not provide money" published on 10Haber.
In his article, Sağlam commented, "International investment banks that do intensive business with Turkey bring the new economic management together with investors and then give messages that 'interest in Turkey is very high.' However, we also see that this interest cannot somehow ensure that foreigners bring money to Turkey or make investments."
"DESPITE ŞİMŞEK'S EFFORTS, FOREIGN FUND FLOW CANNOT BE SECURED"
Sağlam stated that Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek, after taking office, has been making a great effort to attract foreign investment while simultaneously trying to build a team internally and have the necessary decisions made.
Sağlam expressed his opinion, "Despite all of Şimşek's efforts, a flow of foreign funds cannot be secured. The key point is the failure to gain trust that major economic mistakes will no longer be made. Şimşek is a technician known in the international market whose policies are clear, but because he is not the decision-maker, he cannot somehow provide confidence in the policies to be implemented."
