According to a survey conducted by ASAL Research with 2,000 people in 26 provinces, the biggest problem of the Turkish economy was identified as the increase in food prices.

Striking survey results from ASAL Research! 'What is the most important problem of the Turkish economy?'

ASAL Research has announced the results of its 'Turkey Political Agenda' survey, which was conducted in January with 2,000 people aged 18 and over. In the survey, the question "What is the most important problem of the Turkish economy?" was asked, and food and housing prices stood out.

The main headings used to determine the poverty and hunger thresholds became the primary agenda item for the survey participants.

According to the survey results, a 0.95 confidence interval and a +/-2.5 margin of error were calculated.

The results were ranked as follows:

Increase in food product prices: 29.1 percent

Increase in rent and housing prices: 14.3 percent

Increase in fuel prices: 9.5 percent

Unemployment: 8.7 percent

High prices of natural gas, electricity, and water: 8.4 percent

High inflation: 7.1 percent

High tax rates: 6.5 percent

High interest rates: 5.6 percent

Lack of education: 3.5 percent
