The 2026-2027 production year sugar beet purchase price for TürkŞeker has been determined. The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry announced that the price has been set at 3 thousand 720 liras per ton, including the quota completion premium.
In a statement made on the ministry's social media account, it was emphasized that sugar beet farming, which provides purchase guarantees to farmers through a contract production model, is important both for producers and for Turkey's strategic production power.
The statement said, "This strong chain extending from the field to the factory is the most important pillar that will carry our sugar industry into its second century."
The ministry expressed its hope that the determined purchase price would be auspicious and fruitful for the country, especially for sugar beet producers.
