Tap water prices increased in Istanbul
A 10 percent price hike has been applied to tap water in Istanbul.
The General Assembly of the Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ) has decided to increase water tariffs, effective from June 1, 2025.
Accordingly, the unit price for water in the 1st tier, which covers approximately 85 percent of residential subscribers, has been increased by 10 percent.
With the new regulation, the price per cubic meter of water in the 1st tier has risen from 42.37 TL to 46.62 TL.
AUTOMATIC MONTHLY INCREASES ARE BEING APPLIED
According to a previous board decision made in November 2024, İSKİ automatically updates water tariffs every month based on the average of CPI and PPI rates.
The price hike that will come into effect on June 1 has been implemented as part of this practice.
