TAV announces: New terminal building in Almaty has entered service
TAV announced that the new terminal building in Almaty has opened, stating that with the new facility, passenger capacity will exceed 14 million.
At Almaty Airport, construction of the new international terminal has been completed, and the new terminal building has entered service.
According to the statement made by TAV to the Public Disclosure Platform, with the opening of the 54,000-square-meter new terminal and the conversion of the old terminal into a domestic terminal, the airport's passenger capacity will increase from 7 million to over 14 million passengers annually.
The new terminal building features a total of 12 boarding gates, seven of which are equipped with passenger bridges, 3,230 square meters of duty-free retail space, and a parking lot for 786 vehicles.
According to the statement, the parking capacity at the airport will increase to 1,200 vehicles in September 2024.
