Tax expert Ozan Bingöl warns: Tax shock for salaried employees!

Tax Expert Ozan Bingöl announced in a statement on his social media account that there will be a significant change in the tax bracket for salaried employees starting from the second month of the year. Stating that inflation and the increase in tax brackets will seriously reduce the real income of employees, Bingöl emphasized that low-income groups in particular will be negatively affected by this process.

TAX SHOCK FOR SALARIED EMPLOYEES!

In his post, Bingöl stated that salaried employees with a gross salary of 93 thousand liras or more will enter the 20 percent tax bracket in the second month of 2025. Expressing that this situation will lead to a major erosion in the net salaries of employees, Bingöl explained that while an employee with a gross salary of 100 thousand liras receives a net of 75 thousand 4 liras in the first month of the year, this amount will drop to 65 thousand 909 liras by the last month of the year.

Stating that the tax burden on salaries will become heavier as the tax bracket rises, Bingöl emphasized that salaries will gradually decrease throughout the year and the real income of employees will gradually diminish.

AS TAXES RISE, SALARIES MELT AWAY!

Stating that in an environment where annual inflation is around 30-35 percent, the loss of employees due to the tax bracket will be around 12 percent, Bingöl noted that there will be serious losses in net salaries by the end of the year.

According to Bingöl's statements, the net salary calculated as 75 thousand liras at the beginning of the year will drop to 65 thousand liras by the end of the year, and when inflation is also taken into account, the real loss of this erosion will be much higher.

While it is stated that this situation will most negatively affect salaried employees, low-income segments, and retirees, it is predicted that the losses in employees' salaries will further increase economic difficulties.

EMPLOYEES' PURCHASING POWER WILL DROP

The rise in the tax bracket and the increase in taxes deducted from salaries will directly affect the purchasing power of employees. The decrease in net salaries due to tax deductions will make it difficult for employees to cover their expenses in a high-inflation environment.

Experts state that this situation will significantly reduce the purchasing power of employees and that citizens in the low and middle-income groups, in particular, will experience more economic hardship.
