Tesla surpasses Togg! Elon Musk's earnings from Turkey calculated

The change made to the Special Consumption Tax (SCT) rates caused activity in the automotive sector. Many consumers who anticipated this situation before the SCT regulation came into effect brought their car purchases forward.

Interest in electric vehicles continues without slowing down. While Turkey's domestic production Togg reached a sales figure of 2,720 units in July, the US-based electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla achieved 4,706 sales in the same period.

HOW MUCH ARE ELON MUSK'S EARNINGS FROM TURKEY?

As Tesla founder and CEO Elon Musk increases sales figures in the Turkish market, the revenue generated has reached remarkable levels.

According to the report by NTV, the earnings from the 4,706 Teslas sold in Turkey in July, excluding SCT and VAT, were calculated at approximately 7.8 billion TL. This figure corresponds to earnings of approximately 193 million dollars in foreign currency.

TESLA'S JUNE SALES WERE EVEN HIGHER

Tesla had shown a much higher performance in June compared to July with 7,325 sales in Turkey. It was reported that the earnings from sales in June alone were at the level of 342 million dollars.

SCT EFFECT ON THE AUTOMOTIVE MARKET

As August began, the effect of the SCT regulation was felt throughout the entire automotive sector. While car brands updated their prices according to the new rates, Tesla did not remain indifferent to this change. There was also an increase in Tesla's Turkey prices in line with the updated SCT rates.
