The August and 9-month champions on the stock exchange have been determined

Among the sports clubs traded on Borsa Istanbul, Beşiktaş, whose shares rose by 23.4 percent, became the sports company that provided the highest returns to its investors.

Shares of Fenerbahçe Futbol AŞ also increased by 1.3 percent last month.

Galatasaray Sportif Sınai ve Ticari Yatırımlar caused a loss of 5.7 percent for its investors, while Trabzonspor Sportif Yatırım ve Futbol İşletmeciliği caused a loss of 18.4 percent.

FENERBAHÇE SURGES ON THE STOCK EXCHANGE

Fenerbahçe, which maintained its lead in the Trendyol Super League by reaching 10 points in 4 matches, delighted its fans on the pitch and its investors on the stock exchange.

Fenerbahçe has also drawn attention with the high-value player sales it has made during the tenure of President Ali Koç and his administrations. The club sent Josef de Souza, Guiliano, Eljif Elmas, Vedat Muriç, Kim Min-Jae, Arda Güler, and Ferdi Kadıoğlu to other clubs for high transfer fees. The yellow-navy blue team earned 137.1 million euros in transfer fees from the sale of these players.

Fenerbahçe had announced that Kadıoğlu was transferred to English Premier League side Brighton for a transfer fee of 30 million euros.

According to the statement on the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), Fenerbahçe will additionally receive performance bonuses of up to 5 million euros and a 10 percent share from future sales. This transfer was also influential in the rise of Fenerbahçe's shares.

GALATASARAY LOST VALUE

Galatasaray, which was eliminated by Swiss representative Young Boys in the UEFA Champions League play-off round, saw its shares traded on the stock exchange lose value last month.

The yellow-red team was eliminated after losing 3-2 and 1-0 to the Swiss representative they faced in the UEFA Champions League play-off round.

Analysts noted that the fact that the yellow-red team would not be able to receive the revenue from the Champions League was influential in this decline, stating that sporting success is important from a financial perspective.

The participation fee for the Champions League was set at 18 million 620 thousand euros, and broadcasting revenue at 9 million euros. In the 8 matches to be played in the Champions League, 2.1 million euros would have been paid per win and 700 thousand euros for a draw. Thus, Galatasaray missed out on at least 27.6 million euros in revenue.

TRABZONSPOR DISAPPOINTED INVESTORS

Trabzonspor, which has not yet shown the desired performance in the Trendyol Super League, also disappointed its investors on the stock exchange.

Trabzonspor completed its first two matches in the league with goalless draws. The club bid farewell to European cups after losing 5-4 on penalties to Switzerland's St. Gallen in the UEFA Conference League play-off round, following a 1-1 draw in both regular time and extra time in the return leg of the 0-0 first match.

FENERBAHÇE PROVIDED THE HIGHEST RETURNS

Looking at the stock performance of sports companies since the beginning of the year, Fenerbahçe gained 55.2 percent, Galatasaray 18.3 percent, and Trabzonspor 13 percent, while Beşiktaş lost 22.6 percent.

Fenerbahçe was followed by Beşiktaş with 8 billion 916 million liras, Galatasaray with 8 billion 46 million liras, and Trabzonspor with 4 billion 550 million liras.
