The best-performing investment vehicle in November has been announced
Evaluating the performance of investment vehicles in November, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has announced the investment vehicles that provided the highest returns.
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has announced the real return rates of financial investment vehicles for November. On a monthly basis, when calculated with the Domestic Producer Price Index (D-PPI), the highest real return was achieved by deposit interest (gross) at 2.21 percent. When deflated by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), this rate was 2.18 percent.
According to the D-PPI, government domestic debt securities (GDDS) provided a real return of 1.89 percent, the BIST 100 index 0.50 percent, and the dollar 0.26 percent. Conversely, gold bullion caused a loss of 0.41 percent, and the Euro caused a loss of 0.45 percent. According to the CPI, while GDDS gained 1.86 percent, the BIST 100 index 0.47 percent, and the dollar 0.23 percent, gold bullion lost 0.44 percent and the Euro lost 0.48 percent in value.
In the three-month evaluation, gold bullion provided the highest real return at 23.52 percent with the D-PPI and 21.53 percent with the CPI. During the same period, the BIST 100 index was the investment vehicle that caused the most loss, at 6.83 percent with the D-PPI and 8.33 percent with the CPI.
In the six-month period, while gold bullion offered the highest return at 23.3 percent with the D-PPI and 22.74 percent with the CPI, the dollar stood out as the vehicle that caused the most loss, at 2.88 percent with the D-PPI and 3.32 percent with the CPI.
THE SUPERIORITY OF GOLD IN ANNUAL EVALUATION
On an annual basis, gold bullion provided the highest real return to its investors at 47.77 percent with the D-PPI and 43.44 percent with the CPI. According to the D-PPI, while deposit interest (gross) gained 10.91 percent, GDDS 5.79 percent, and the Euro 4.9 percent, the dollar caused a loss of 3.53 percent and the BIST 100 index a loss of 8.02 percent. According to the CPI, while deposit interest (gross) gained 7.66 percent, GDDS 2.69 percent, and the Euro 1.82 percent, the dollar lost 6.36 percent and the BIST 100 index lost 10.71 percent.
