The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has announced the "real return rates of financial investment vehicles" for September.

Accordingly, the highest monthly real return in September was seen in bullion gold, with 4.67 percent when adjusted for the domestic producer price index (D-PPI) and 3.04 percent when adjusted for the consumer price index (CPI).

When adjusted for the D-PPI, among investment vehicles, deposit interest (gross) provided a real return of 1.9 percent, the euro 0.63 percent, and government domestic debt securities (GDDS) 0.5 percent to their investors, while the dollar caused a loss of 0.25 percent and the BIST 100 index a loss of 2.79 percent.

When adjusted for the CPI, while deposit interest (gross) provided a real return of 0.32 percent to its investors, the euro caused a loss of 0.93 percent, GDDS 1.06 percent, the dollar 1.8 percent, and the BIST 100 index 4.3 percent.

In the 3-month evaluation, bullion gold was the investment vehicle that provided the highest real return to its investors, at 11.7 percent when adjusted for the D-PPI and 7.75 percent when adjusted for the CPI.

In the same period, the BIST 100 index stood out as the investment vehicle that caused the most loss to its investors, at 10.67 percent when adjusted for the D-PPI and 13.83 percent when adjusted for the CPI.

According to the 6-month evaluation, deposit interest (gross) was the investment vehicle that provided the highest real return to its investors, at 7.87 percent when adjusted for the D-PPI and 2.79 percent when adjusted for the CPI. In the same period, the dollar was calculated as the investment vehicle that caused the most loss to its investors, at 5.57 percent when adjusted for the D-PPI and 10.02 percent when adjusted for the CPI.

HIGHEST ANNUAL REAL RETURN IN BULLION GOLD

When financial investment vehicles were evaluated annually, bullion gold stood out as the investment vehicle that provided the highest real return to its investors, at 28.25 percent when adjusted for the D-PPI and 14.27 percent when adjusted for the CPI.

In the annual evaluation, when adjusted for the D-PPI, among investment vehicles, the euro caused a loss of 1.62 percent, deposit interest (gross) 4.63 percent, the dollar 5.36 percent, the BIST 100 index 9.14 percent, and GDDS 14.44 percent to their investors.

When adjusted for the CPI, the euro caused a loss of 12.34 percent, deposit interest (gross) 15.03 percent, the dollar 15.68 percent, the BIST 100 index 19.05 percent, and GDDS 23.77 percent to their investors.
