The date has been set: Double price hike coming for fuel!
According to industry sources, a price hike of 3.90 TL for diesel and approximately 1 TL for gasoline is expected. The increase is projected to be reflected at the pump starting July 17.
A new expectation for fuel price hikes has emerged. According to information obtained from industry sources, an increase of 3.90 TL per liter for diesel and approximately 1 TL per liter for gasoline is expected.
The expected hike is projected to be reflected in pump prices starting Friday, July 17. It is stated that the rise in global oil prices, volatility in exchange rates, and increasing tension around the Strait of Hormuz are effective in this expectation of an increase.
The end of the ceasefire between the US and Iran, attacks in the Gulf region, and the decrease in tanker transits in the Strait of Hormuz have increased concerns regarding energy supply. These developments are expected to push international oil prices upward and reflect on fuel prices in Turkey.
| Province/Region | Gasoline liter price | Diesel liter price |
|---|---|---|
| Istanbul | 65.51 TL | 73.86 TL |
| Ankara | 66.46 TL | 74.97 TL |
| Izmir | 66.75 TL | 75.24 TL |
| Eastern provinces | Approximately 68.10 TL | Approximately 76.70 TL |
Fuel prices continue to change depending on Brent crude oil, exchange rates, and tax regulations. For this reason, the final prices at the pump may vary between provinces according to distribution and dealer practices.
