The investment vehicle that left its mark on the week has been revealed
While stocks traded on Borsa Istanbul lost an average of 2.96 percent on a weekly basis, the dollar/TL rose by 1.49 percent, the euro/TL by 0.61 percent, and the gram price of gold by 2.27 percent.
The BIST 100 index, after seeing a low of 9,062.36 and a high of 9,450.48 points, completed the week at 9,097.15 points, losing 2.96 percent in value compared to the previous week's close.
The gram selling price of 24-karat bullion gold traded in the Grand Bazaar increased by 2.27 percent this week to 2,073 liras, while the selling price of Republic gold rose by 2.26 percent to 13,931 liras.
PRECIOUS METAL FUNDS PERFORMED WELL
The selling price of quarter gold, which was 3,335 liras last weekend, rose to 3,410 liras.
This week, the US dollar gained 1.49 percent in value to rise to 31.5560 liras, and the euro increased by 0.61 percent to 33.9100 liras.
Investment funds gained 0.60 percent and individual pension funds gained 0.20 percent this week. When viewed by category, the best-performing investment funds were "Precious Metal" funds with a gain of 2.72 percent.
