The date has been clarified for the expected difference payments following the increase of the lowest pension from 20,000 Turkish Lira to 23,552 Turkish Lira. According to the statement from the Social Security Institution (SGK), the pension difference payments will be deposited into the accounts of the beneficiaries at midnight on August 7.

The regulation does not only cover those receiving the lowest pension. For retirees whose pensions are between 20,000 Turkish Lira and 23,552 Turkish Lira, a difference payment will be made to bring their pension up to the new base amount.

The payment schedule, which millions of retirees have been following, had become a subject of curiosity following the increase in the lowest pension. With the announcement from the SGK, the uncertainty regarding when the difference amounts would be deposited has been resolved.

Retirees will be able to check their payment amounts and account activity through the bank channels where they receive their pensions and via the SGK's digital services.
