The rate is set: Massive hikes coming for taxes, fines, and fees in 2025
Traffic fines, international departure fees, and driver's license and passport fees are expected to increase by 44 percent in 2025 based on the revaluation rate.
Dünya newspaper columnist Naki Bakkır stated that the inflation rate based on the CPI is projected at 17.5 percent in the 2025-2027 Medium-Term Program (OVP), writing, "At the beginning of the year, taxes such as Property Tax, Environmental Cleaning Tax, Special Communication Tax, and Motor Vehicle Tax, as well as various fees collected for official transactions, vehicle inspection fees, Income Tax brackets, and traffic fines will increase by around 44 percent."

Bakkır noted that the taxes, fines, fees, and charges to be increased at the beginning of the year according to the revaluation rate, which will be announced on November 3, will be as follows:
- Property Tax
- Environmental Cleaning Tax
- Motor Vehicle Tax
- Income Tax Law, certain exemption amounts, tax brackets, etc.
- Inheritance and Gift Tax, exemptions, tariff bases
- Stamp Duty
- Special Communication Tax
- Traffic fines
- Driver's license and passport fees
- Penalties under the Tax Procedure Law
- Administrative fines subject to the Misdemeanors Law
- Vehicle inspection fees
- International departure fee
