The BIST 100 index, which trades on Borsa İstanbul, closed at 12,265.98 points after a volatile week, marking a limited decline of 0.03 percent. Throughout the week, the index tested a low of 12,038.79 and a high of 12,528.60 points. On a sectoral basis, while the technology, services, and financial indices experienced declines, the industrial index ended the week with a 0.23 percent increase.
Among the stocks included in the BIST 100 index, the company that brought the most joy to its investors was Pasifik Holding, with a rise of 11.96 percent. This rise was followed by İskenderun Demir ve Çelik with 8.12 percent and CVK Maden with 8.09 percent. The stock that lost the most during the week was recorded as Bera Holding, with a decline of 9.75 percent. It was followed by Borusan Yatırım, which fell by 7.84 percent, and Astor Enerji, which dropped by 7.09 percent. ASELSAN maintained its title as the company with the highest market value, with a valuation of approximately 1 trillion 601 billion liras.
While the stock market lost value over the past week, upward movements stood out in the gold and foreign exchange markets. The gram price of 24-karat bullion gold increased by 0.48 percent to reach 6,645 liras, while quarter gold reached 10,883 liras and republic gold reached 43,310 liras. On the foreign exchange front, the dollar increased by 0.63 percent to 49.3430 liras, and the British pound rose to 65.2900 liras. The euro, on the other hand, was among the currencies that closed the week in the red, falling by 0.39 percent to 55.2490 liras.
