The top-performing investment vehicle of the week has been revealed!
Stocks traded on Borsa Istanbul rose by an average of 1.27 percent on a weekly basis, while the gram price of gold increased by 2.87 percent, the euro/TL rate by 2.36 percent, and the dollar/TL rate by 0.33 percent.
The BIST 100 index completed the week at 10,104.85 points, up 1.27 percent from the previous week's close, after seeing a low of 9,923.63 points and a high of 10,151.55 points.
The gram selling price of 24-karat bullion gold traded in the Grand Bazaar increased by 2.87 percent this week to 3,186 liras, while the selling price of Republic gold rose by 2.84 percent to 21,596 liras.
The selling price of quarter gold, which was 5,187 liras at the end of last week, increased by 2.89 percent to 5,337 liras.
This week, the US dollar gained 0.33 percent in value to reach 35.6890 liras, and the euro rose by 2.36 percent to 36.4110 liras.
Investment funds gained 1.78 percent and pension funds gained 1.83 percent this week.
When viewed by category, the top performers among investment funds were "stock" funds with a 2.22 percent gain.
