This has led citizens who have reached retirement age to join the queue at İŞKUR. While the number of unemployed people aged 60 and over registered with the agency reached 28 thousand, 6 thousand 500 people in this age group have been at the door of İŞKUR for more than a year. In the same period last year, the number of unemployed people aged 60 and over registered with İŞKUR was 21 thousand 968.
Due to the tightening of conditions for benefiting from unemployment benefits and the use of unemployment insurance funds for purposes other than their intended use, the vast majority of the unemployed cannot benefit from unemployment benefits. As of January, the number of applicants for unemployment benefits was 151 thousand 577, while only 77 thousand 952 people were able to benefit from unemployment benefits.
