Stocks traded on Borsa Istanbul rose by an average of 3.09 percent on a weekly basis, while the gram price of gold increased by 0.17 percent, the euro/TL by 0.35 percent, and the dollar/TL by 0.09 percent.
HOW DID THE BIST100 INDEX PERFORM THROUGHOUT THE WEEK?
The BIST 100 index, after seeing a low of 9,562.36 points and a high of 10,055.06 points, finished the week at 10,025.47 points, up 3.09 percent from the previous week's close.
The gram selling price of 24-karat bullion gold traded in the Grand Bazaar increased by 0.17 percent this week to 2,964 liras, while the selling price of Republic gold rose by 0.16 percent to 20,108 liras.
The selling price of quarter gold, which was 4,956 liras last weekend, rose by 0.18 percent to 4,965 liras.
THE DOLLAR GAINED VALUE
This week, the US dollar gained 0.09 percent in value to reach 35.2220 liras, while the euro increased by 0.35 percent to 36.7810 liras.
Investment funds gained 1.18 percent and pension funds gained 1.45 percent this week. When viewed by category, the best-performing investment funds were "precious metal" funds with a 1.96 percent gain.
