Threshold for social security and tax debt in public tenders raised to 50 thousand liras

The monetary threshold regarding social security (SGK) and tax debt in public tenders has been increased. The communiqué amendment prepared by the Public Procurement Authority was published in the Official Gazette dated October 16, 2026.

With the regulation, the phrases "5,000 TL" in articles 17.3.2 and 17.4.1 of the General Communiqué on Public Procurement were changed to "50,000 TL". Thus, the amount in the articles in question has been increased 10-fold.

With the temporary article added to the communiqué, the process regarding tenders whose announcements were published or written notifications were made before the amendment entered into force was also clarified.

Accordingly, tenders whose announcements or written notifications were made before the new regulation will be concluded according to the provisions of the communiqué in force on the date of the announcement or notification.

The communiqué will enter into force 30 days after the date of its publication. The provisions of the regulation will be executed by the President of the Public Procurement Authority.
