To be announced on Tuesday: What will the CBRT's policy rate decision be?
All economists participating in the AA Finance expectation survey expect the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) to keep the policy rate steady at 50 percent.
The expectation survey by AA Finance regarding the CBRT's Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting to be held on Tuesday, July 23, was concluded with the participation of 15 economists.
The median value of the economists' expectations regarding the change in the policy rate was for the rate to be kept steady at 50 percent.
According to the survey results, all economists predict that the policy rate will be kept steady at 50 percent.
The median of the economists' year-end policy rate expectations was calculated as 45 percent.
Among the economists who shared their year-end expectations, 3 predicted that the policy rate would be 50 percent at the end of the year, 1 predicted 47.5 percent, 6 predicted 45 percent, 1 predicted 42.5 percent, and 2 predicted 40 percent. Two economists did not provide a year-end forecast.
At the MPC meeting held last month, the policy rate was kept steady at 50 percent.
