Tobacco retailers begin cigarette boycott: No longer on the shelves!

Erol Dündar, President of the Tobacco Retailers Solidarity Association, announced on his X account that they will no longer sell any cigarettes belonging to the company BAT.

Dündar's X post is as follows:

"Announcement to the public;

Those who follow already know, but what I have to say concerns all consumers, especially cigarette smokers, whether they follow us or not. There is no one who doesn't know that retailers who sell cigarettes make almost no profit from this product and are forced to sell them only to maintain the integrity of their business. I must state that our already negligible profit margin on cigarettes has dropped to zero due to the sales policy implemented by the BAT company and the high commissions we pay on our own POS devices. For this reason, I would like you to know that we have been boycotting and not selling the Kent Drange Blue product for about two weeks, and since no positive result came from our meeting with BAT officials this week, we will not be putting 'any' of the BAT company's products on our shelves as of today, for the benefit of both our retailers and our customers.

I hope you will support our decision. Thank you in advance for your understanding."
