Trade Minister Ömer Bolat announces: A new era begins in vehicle and housing sales!

Budget negotiations continue at the Turkish Grand National Assembly.

Trade Minister Ömer Bolat announced the details regarding the regulation concerning the real estate and vehicle markets.

Speaking during his ministry's budget negotiations, Bolat announced that as of January 1, 2025, unauthorized individuals will no longer be able to sell vehicles or housing.

Bolat stated the following on the matter:

"As of January 1, 2025, unauthorized individuals will not be able to post real estate listings. In the coming days, we will also complete the work we are conducting for the automotive sector so that it enters into force on January 1, 2025."

ARE TAX DEBTS BEING ERASED?

Stating that social media posts claiming tax debts are being erased do not reflect the truth, Bolat said, "Claims that tax expenditures are only provided to the capital segment do not reflect the truth. Do you know what the largest tax expenditure item is? The cost of not taxing the minimum wage in 2025 is 853 billion TL, which is almost one-third of all taxes." Bolat stated that the fight against the informal economy will continue.

"2025 WILL BE A YEAR WHERE INFLATION FALLS"

Speaking about inflation, Bolat claimed that inflation will fall in 2025. Saying, "As in the rest of the world, the main goal in Turkey is to reduce inflation," Bolat added, "Inflation was a problem in the 70s, the 80s, and the 90s; it had fallen to single digits under the AK Party government, and we will bring it down to single digits again. 2025 will be a year where inflation falls."
