In the first auction, a 13-month (392-day) zero-coupon government bond was reissued. The simple interest rate was 49.14 percent, and the compound interest rate was 48.35 percent.
In the auction, where nominal bids reached 4 billion 513 million lira, nominal sales amounted to 594 million lira, and net sales totaled 388.4 million lira.
In the auction, which received no bids from the public sector, 2 billion 158 million lira in bids were received from market makers, and 1 billion 250 million lira was sold to this segment.
In the second auction, a 4-year (1407-day) Turkish Lira Overnight Reference Interest Rate (TLREF) indexed government bond with quarterly coupon payments was reissued. The periodic interest rate was 10.68 percent.
In the auction, where nominal bids reached 19 billion 44 million lira, nominal sales amounted to 6 billion 310 million lira, and net sales totaled 6 billion 633.7 million lira.
In the auction, which received no bids from the public sector, 8 billion 649.2 million lira in bids were received from market makers, and 4 billion 500 million lira was sold to this segment.
Thus, the Treasury borrowed a total of 12 billion 772.1 million lira in the two bond auctions.
