The Ministry of Treasury and Finance borrowed 26 billion 99.8 million liras through 2 bond auctions held today.

In the first auction, the initial issuance of a 15-month (455-day) zero-coupon government bond was conducted. The simple interest rate in the auction was 43.34 percent, and the compound interest rate was 41.39 percent.

In the auction, where nominal bids reached 18 billion 978.3 million liras, nominal sales amounted to 3 billion 946.3 million liras, and net sales were 2 billion 559.6 million liras.

In the auction, where the entire 2 billion 10 million lira bid from the public sector was met, 899.8 million liras in bids were received from market makers, and 550 million liras were sold to this segment.

The second auction was a re-issuance of a 10-year (3556-day) fixed-coupon government bond with coupon payments every 6 months at 13.10 percent. The simple interest rate in the auction was 26.26 percent, and the compound interest rate was 27.98 percent.

In the auction, where nominal bids reached 69 billion 730 million liras, nominal sales amounted to 10 billion 390 million liras, and net sales were 10 billion 977.3 million liras.

In the auction, where the entire 3 million lira bid from the public sector was met, 29 billion 863.4 million liras in bids were received from market makers, and 10 billion liras were sold to this segment.

Thus, the Treasury borrowed 26 billion 99.8 million liras in the two auctions.
