Treasury borrows again with two government bonds
The Ministry of Treasury and Finance borrowed 14 billion 162.2 million liras through two bond auctions held today.

In the first auction, a 2-year (700-day) fixed-coupon government bond with semi-annual coupon payments was reissued. The simple interest rate in the auction was 42.89 percent, and the compound interest rate was 47.49 percent.
In the auction where nominal bids reached 10 billion 733.3 million liras, nominal sales amounted to 2 billion 717.3 million liras, and net sales were 2 billion 592.1 million liras.
In the auction where the entire 3 billion lira bid from the public sector was met, 386 million liras in bids were received from market makers, and 250 million liras were sold to this segment.
In the second auction, a 5-year (1729-day) CPI-indexed government bond with semi-annual coupon payments was reissued. The real simple interest rate in the auction was 0.93 percent, and the real compound interest rate was 0.94 percent.
In the auction where nominal bids reached 10 billion 561 million liras, nominal sales amounted to 4 billion 306 million liras, and net sales were 4 billion 320.1 million liras.
In the auction where the entire 2 billion lira bid from the public sector was met, 3 billion 526 million liras in bids were received from market makers, and 2 billion liras were sold to this segment.
Thus, the Treasury borrowed a total of 14 billion 162.2 million liras in the two bond auctions.
