Treasury borrows approximately 23.7 billion lira through bond auction
The Ministry of Treasury and Finance borrowed 23 billion 655.5 million lira through a bond auction held today.
In the auction, a 4-year (1456-day) maturity government bond, with quarterly coupon payments and indexed to TLREF, was issued for the first time.
The periodic interest rate in the auction was 12.57 percent.
In the auction where nominal bids reached 23 billion 9 million lira, nominal sales amounted to 11 billion 205 million lira, and net sales were 11 billion 155.5 million lira.
In the auction where the entire 2.5 billion lira bid from the public sector was met, 15 billion 668 million lira in bids were received from market makers, and 10 billion lira was sold to this segment.
As a result of the auction, the Treasury borrowed 23 billion 655.5 million lira.
