TÜİK announced: Increase in the number of paid employees!
According to the March 2024 paid employee data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the number of paid employees increased by 2.6% in March compared to the same month of the previous year. When looking at the sub-sectors, a 0.4% decrease was observed in the industrial sector.
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has released the paid employee data for March 2024. Accordingly, the total number of paid employees in the industrial, construction, and trade-service sectors increased by 2.6% in March 2024 compared to the same month of the previous year. While the number of paid employees was 14 million 839 thousand 534 in the same month of the previous year, it reached 15 million 225 thousand 128 in March 2024.
When looking at the sub-details of paid employees; in March 2024, the number of paid employees decreased by 1.0% annually in the industrial sector, increased by 9.3% in the construction sector, and increased by 3.5% in the trade-service sector.
DECREASE IN INDUSTRIAL AND CONSTRUCTION SECTORS
The total number of paid employees in the industrial, construction, and trade-service sectors decreased by 0.1% in March 2024 compared to the previous month.
When looking at the sub-details of paid employees; in March 2024, the number of paid employees decreased by 0.4% monthly in the industrial sector, decreased by 0.1% in the construction sector, and increased by 0.1% in the trade-service sector.
