TÜİK announces agricultural input price index
According to data released by TÜİK, the agricultural input price index increased by 49.93% compared to the same month of the previous year.
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has announced the Agricultural Input Price Index for March.
Accordingly, in the Agriculture-Input Price Index, there was an increase of 1.16% in March 2024 compared to the previous month, an increase of 12.67% compared to December of the previous year, an increase of 49.93% compared to the same month of the previous year, and an increase of 37.50% based on twelve-month averages.
In the main groups, compared to the previous month, there was an increase of 0.81% in the index for goods and services used in agriculture, and an increase of 3.35% in the index for goods and services contributing to agricultural investment.
Compared to the same month of the previous year, there was an increase of 46.74% in the index for goods and services used in agriculture, and an increase of 72.55% in the index for goods and services contributing to agricultural investment.
The sub-group with the highest annual change was veterinary expenses at 165.31%, and the sub-group with the highest monthly change was seeds and planting materials at 7.04%.
