TÜİK announces: Confidence declines in service, retail, and construction sectors
TÜİK has released the 'Service, Retail Trade, and Construction Confidence Indices, June 2024' statistics. According to the data, confidence in these sectors in Turkey has decreased.
TÜİK has released the 'Service, Retail Trade, and Construction Confidence Indices, June 2024' statistics on its official website.
Accordingly, the seasonally adjusted confidence index in June compared to the previous month decreased by 1.5 percent in the service sector to 115.4, by 2.6 percent in the retail trade sector to 108.8, and by 0.5 percent in the construction sector to 87.9.
In the service sector, business conditions over the last 3 months decreased by 0.3 percent in June compared to the previous month. Demand for services over the last 3 months increased by 0.8 percent, rising to 116.5. In the service sector, the 'expectation for demand for services in the next 3 months' decreased by 4.8 percent compared to the previous month, reaching 114.3.
In the retail sector, the business volume-sales over the last 3 months fell by 1.4 percent to 123.7, while the current stock level of goods dropped to 89.1.
In construction, registered orders received recorded a 0.9 percent decline, falling to 82.7. The expectation for the total number of employees in the next 3 months fell by 0.1 percent to 93.4.
