TÜİK has announced! Pensioner inflation adjustment clarified
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) announced that inflation for March was 3.16 percent monthly. The inflation adjustment for SGK and Bağ-Kur pensioners for March has been determined.
Pensioners, who will receive an inflation adjustment of 6.70 percent for January and 4.53 percent for February, will receive a 15.05 percent raise when these rates are calculated cumulatively; however, this raise will be reflected in pensioners' salaries in July. For this reason, the pensioners' raises will be finalized once the inflation data for April, May, and June are announced.
According to the collective bargaining agreement, civil servant salaries and civil servant pensions will be increased by 15 percent in the first 6 months of 2024, 10 percent in the second 6 months, 6 percent in the first 6 months of 2025, and 5 percent in the second 6 months.
These raise rates will apply if they remain below inflation. If inflation remains higher than the raise rates, civil servants and civil servant pensioners will also see the inflation difference reflected in their salaries as a raise.
